Parker Birdie

A growing garden of thoughts

I've been to two Thomas Dybdahl concerts. They were both very boring. He's a musician that's supposed to be really great live, at least that's what you imagine when you hear him on an album, in your room.

I think he was very good at creating a mood in his earlier albums.

What turned me on to Dybdahl was his story of becoming a musician. He went to a concert, got such a headache that had to leave the concert and went home. When he got home he was sure that it was his destiny to become a musician.

There's a song on the album "...That great october sound", which is named "Postulate". It's an interview with Morton Feldman.
